a simple vision…
Established in 2022, La Maison Studio was created by tattoo artist and founder, Lauren Smith - whom you may also know as, ‘Loz’.
After years of working in various studios, Loz sought to create an elevated space in Vancouver that stood out from the rest.
Her vision was simple - to create an environment that feels warm, beautiful and inspiring for artists - to honour clients and encourage deep connections, free from all the egos and hierarchies that all-too-often dominate the industry. Her vision was simple, yet finding such an environment along the way proved surprisingly challenging.
Before pursuing a career in tattooing, Loz built a diverse background within the hospitality industry, eventually rising to a management position with a thriving restaurant group in Vancouver. Working closely with the ownership team allowed for valuable firsthand experience into the inner workings of a successful business. This experience shaped her understanding of the importance of fostering a strong team dynamic and creating an environment that not only attracts, but retains the right talent.
With humble beginnings and together with a core team of other women - La Maison was born.

the EVOLUTION
In just a few years, the studio has bloomed and is now home to more than 12 resident artists and a number of guests hailing from across the globe. Establishing a strong foothold in Vancouver’s tattoo scene, La Maison has solidified its reputation as one of Vancouver’s premier tattoo spaces.
From flash day events, to markets, conventions and more - La Maison seeks to connect with the wider community and celebrate art in all its forms.
